The National Fuel Funds Network (NFFN), the National Energy Assistance Directors’ Association (NEADA) and the National Low Income Energy Consortium are the three organizations that partner annually to provide the Joint Low Income Energy Conferences.
Each year, consumer advocates, utility personnel, regulators, service providers, energy services company representatives, community action agency staff, weatherization specialists, researchers and others convene to share experiences, common problems and, most importantly, solutions and successes. At this unique gathering, attendees learn the latest updates from local, regional and national experts regarding programs and policies to help low-income consumers meet their energy needs.
The National Fuel Funds Network 23nd Annual Conference and the National Energy Assistance Directors’ Annual Meeting run concurrently, beginning at noon on Sunday and running throughout the day on Monday. The NLIEC's 21st Annual National Low Income Energy Conference will open with the Bridges Reception for all Joint Conferences attendees on Monday evening, and continues from Tuesday through midday Thursday with workshops and general sessions.

Joint Statement
No one needs to remind you how great the challenges are when serving clients and customers in an era of ever-diminishing resources and wildly fluctuating prices. While many state governments stepped up to provide additional funding for the 2005-2006 heating season, states still have limited abilities to supplement federal programs amid their own, challenging budget circumstances.
That is why the Joint
Conferences are as important, if not more important, than ever. Neither the
federal government nor state governments, the utility sector nor the nonprofit
sector alone can solve the problem of unaffordable energy for low-income
customers. It takes innovative ideas and collaborative partnerships to ensure
energy security for all.
The Joint Low Income Energy Conferences are exactly where you need to be for
five intense and exciting days. Together,
we will be exploring model programs, effective policies and practices,
innovative collaborations, and new information and resources. This is your time
to learn and have fun. You will leave the conferences with new connections,
resources, and knowledge – ready to successfully take on the challenges in
your own community.
We know that travel is costly, budgets are tight, and opportunities to attend
conferences and trainings are limited. Here is a valuable solution: the
opportunity to attend multiple events with just one trip. And we make it simple.
You register just once for the conferences you want to attend, using the Joint
Conferences registration form in our registration brochure or our joint, online
registration process. One form, one payment in a “one-stop-shopping”
approach. We expect a large number
of attendees, so please register early to guarantee your participation! We look
forward to seeing you in June.
